husband or a wife. (b) Either one of a couple who dance together. (c)
One who shares as a member of a partnership in the management, or in
the gains and losses, of a business. - An associate in any business or occupation; a member of a

- Sink deliberately - An opening cut through the waterway and bulwarks of a
ship, so that water falling on deck may flow overboard; -- called also
scupper hole.
- Raised pieces of wood of iron around a hatchway,
skylight, or other opening in the deck, to prevent water from running
bellow; esp. the fore-and-aft pieces of a hatchway frame as
distinguished from the transverse head ledges.
