Thin Cigar

Thin Cigar crossword clue. 9 letters. The Big One, Daily Telegraph Sydney, Wednesday 3 May 2017.

The answer is PANATELLA.

Panatela Cigars

Are generally similar to Coronas only they are usualy longer and thinner. They have the Parejo shape and are relatively unfashionable. Their typical sizes are 5.5 to 7 inches in length and have a ring gauge of 34 to 38.

Due to the long, thin nature of Panatelas they are widely hailed as an elegant cigar for female smokers. This stereotype is not entirely true as it is enjoyed by both men and women alike.

Pantelas are relatively difficult to make as they are smaller and contain less filler. The danger in manufacture is that the roll is too tight or too loose, this can effect the draw and the smoke quality.
