- A mineral of the feldspar family, commonly occurring in
small glassy crystals, also a constituent of some igneous rocks. It is
a lime feldspar. See Feldspar.
- An iron-potash mica, of a raven-black color, usually
found in granitic rocks in small six-sided tables, or as an aggregation
of minute opaque scales. See Mica.
